Tyler Loop’s 56-yard field goal sailed through as time ran out, giving the Baltimore Ravens a wild 34-31 win over the Dallas Cowboys at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The Ravens arrived at 1-1 needing a response after losing to New Orleans. The Cowboys, also 1-1, hoped their high-powered offense could build on last week’s win. Instead, both teams traded huge punches until Baltimore’s final drive wrote the ending.

Dallas struck first by showing it could run as well as pass. Javonte Williams ripped through Baltimore for 17 yards, then powered the Cowboys to the 1-yard line. The Cowboys settled for Brandon Aubrey’s field goal, but their next drive finished the job. Williams scored from 2 yards out to make it 10-0.

Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry answered with the kind of double threat Baltimore wanted to show on the international stage. Jackson sprinted 21 yards, then hit Zay Flowers for 22 more. Henry finished the march on a direct snap, taking the ball himself for a 4-yard touchdown. In the second quarter, Baltimore kept leaning on its runners. Two Dallas pass-interference penalties gave the Ravens help, and Henry scored again from 3 yards out for a 14-10 lead.

The Ravens led 17-13 at halftime after Loop’s 27-yard field goal. Then Jake Ferguson’s fumble early in the third quarter gave Baltimore a chance to take control. Henry burst 29 yards to set up Jackson’s 4-yard touchdown pass to Chris Moore. Suddenly, the Ravens led 24-13.

Baltimore drove to the Dallas goal line early in the fourth quarter, but Henry’s apparent third touchdown was overturned on review. The Ravens came away empty, and the Cowboys seized their chance.

Prescott answered with a 49-yard strike to Lamb, then moved Dallas close enough for KaVontae Turpin to race 9 yards for the go-ahead touchdown. Dallas led 28-24 with 9:42 left. Lamb finished with 112 receiving yards, while Pickens added 82, but Baltimore’s defense had one more stand left.

Jackson led it. He ran for 17 yards, threw to Flowers for 14 yards, then found Flowers again at the Dallas 2. Henry was stopped near the goal line, but Jackson calmly hit Matthew Hibner for the 2-yard touchdown with 1:30 remaining. Baltimore was back ahead, 31-28.

Prescott nearly delivered another rescue, driving Dallas to the Baltimore 5. Aubrey tied it with a 23-yard field goal and seven seconds left. But Jackson immediately found Flowers for 27 yards, setting up Loop’s game-winning blast.

Baltimore is now 2-1 and carries a hard-earned lesson in late-game poise into its next game against Tennessee. Dallas falls to 1-2 before facing Houston, knowing its explosive offense can battle anyone—but every close finish demands one more stop.
