Bears Stun Packers With Incredible Fourth-Quarter Comeback
The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers delivered an unforgettable playoff game filled with big plays, mistakes, and nonstop drama. Green Bay controlled most of the night, but the Bears saved their best football for the final quarter. What happened next shocked everyone watching.
First Half: Packers Build a Big Lead
The Bears opened the game with a strong drive, but it ended with a field goal, giving Chicago a 3–0 lead. That would be one of the few good moments for the Bears early on.
Green Bay quickly took control. Jordan Love led the Packers on a long touchdown drive, finishing it with a touchdown pass to Christian Watson. Later, Love struck again with a deep touchdown to Jayden Reed, and just before halftime, the Packers added another score with a short touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs.
Meanwhile, the Bears struggled to finish drives and threw an interception in Packers territory. At halftime, Green Bay was firmly in control with a 21–3 lead.
Third Quarter: Bears Hang Around
Chicago came out of halftime playing with more urgency. Caleb Williams began finding rookie tight end Colston Loveland over the middle of the field. Loveland made several big catches and helped move the Bears deep into scoring range.
The drive ended with a field goal, cutting the deficit to 21–6. The Bears still trailed by two scores, but they finally had some momentum.
Green Bay missed a long field goal late in the quarter, giving Chicago hope heading into the final period.
Fourth Quarter: Bears Score 25 Points in a Wild Rally
The fourth quarter was pure chaos.
Chicago struck first when D’Andre Swift powered in for a rushing touchdown, finishing a strong drive and cutting the lead to 21–13. The Bears’ sideline came alive.
Moments later, Williams led another fast drive and threw a touchdown pass to Olamide Zaccheaus. Chicago went for two, and converted, suddenly making it 21–21.
Green Bay answered with a deep touchdown pass of its own, retaking the lead. But the Bears were not done.
With under two minutes left, Williams delivered the biggest play of the night, launching a deep touchdown pass to DJ Moore. In just one quarter, Chicago had scored 25 points and taken the lead.
The Final Stand: Defense Closes It Out
Jordan Love got one last chance to respond. He moved the Packers down the field into Bears territory, but the Chicago defense stood strong. Under pressure on the final play, Love couldn’t complete the pass, and the comeback was complete.
The Score
Bears 31, Packers 27
Chicago pulled off one of the most stunning playoff comebacks in recent memory, erasing a 21–6 deficit with a dominant fourth quarter. Caleb Williams showed resilience, D’Andre Swift delivered on the ground, and the Bears’ offense saved its best for last.
