Jaylen Warren turned one short pass and one giant run into the plays that changed Pittsburgh’s Sunday. With both teams entering at 2–2 and chasing a stronger place in the AFC race, Warren sparked the Steelers to a 34–22 win over the Colts in Pittsburgh. His 80-yard catch for a touchdown erased an early deficit, and his 50-yard scoring dash gave the Steelers control for good.

Indianapolis landed the first punch. Quarterback Daniel Jones found tight end Tyler Warren twice on the opening drive, helping the Colts reach field-goal range. Kicker Spencer Shrader drilled from 57 yards out for a 3–0 lead. But Pittsburgh answered in one flash. Aaron Rodgers threw a short pass to Jaylen Warren, who raced through the Colts defense for an 80-yard touchdown. Just like that, the Steelers led 7–3.

The Colts stayed close because Shrader was nearly perfect from far away. He added a 56-yard field goal, and Indianapolis trailed only 7–6 after one quarter. Rodgers then marched Pittsburgh down the field with help from receiver Bernard and tight end Pat Freiermuth. A pass interference penalty, when a defender illegally blocks a receiver before the ball arrives, set up Freiermuth’s 1-yard touchdown catch and a 14–6 Steelers lead.

Jones and the Colts responded with their strongest drive of the first half. A 42-yard pass to Josh Downs and a 22-yard throw to Laquon Treadwell pushed Indianapolis to the goal line. After Jonathan Taylor was stopped twice near the end zone, Tyler Warren powered in for a 1-yard touchdown. The Colts were within 14–13, but Rodgers used the final minutes to reach field-goal range. Chris Boswell’s 48-yard kick gave Pittsburgh a 17–13 halftime lead.

The third quarter became Jaylen Warren’s show. The Colts opened the half with a long drive, but Pittsburgh held them to Shrader’s 22-yard field goal. Indianapolis had pulled within 17–16. Then the Steelers used a clever direct snap to Freiermuth for a first down, and Warren burst through the middle on the next big play. He flew 50 yards for a touchdown and made it 24–16.

Indianapolis kept fighting. Tyler Warren caught seven passes for 83 yards, and Jones threw for 267 yards without an interception. Yet the Colts reached the red zone, the area inside the opponent’s 20-yard line, three times and scored only one touchdown. Shrader’s fifth field goal cut the score to 24–22 early in the fourth quarter, but Pittsburgh had the answer.

Rodgers led a steady drive, with Warren grinding out tough yards before Freiermuth caught a 17-yard touchdown for a 31–22 lead. Boswell later hit from 54 yards to finish the scoring. Rodgers threw three touchdown passes, while Jaylen Warren piled up 101 rushing yards and 87 receiving yards.

The Steelers improved to 3–2 and head next to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with their physical attack rolling. The Colts fell to 2–3 and will face the Tennessee Titans knowing their offense can move the ball, but it must turn long drives into touchdowns.
