The Rams arrived in Las Vegas at 2-4, carrying two straight close losses and searching for a finish. On Sunday, they found one with a powerful rushing attack and timely touchdown passes from Matthew Stafford. Los Angeles built a 25-point halftime lead, absorbed a Raiders comeback push, then ran away with a 35-21 win at Allegiant Stadium.

The 3-3 Raiders hoped to turn several near-misses into a home victory, but their offense started slowly. After Las Vegas missed a 51-yard field goal, Stafford guided the Rams downfield with quick throws to Puka Nacua and tight end Colby Parkinson. Nacua added a 7-yard run, and Stafford found tight end Davis Allen for a 3-yard touchdown and a 7-0 lead.

Ashton Jeanty gave the Raiders some spark, catching passes and fighting through tackles. His 21-yard run helped set up Matt Gay’s 30-yard field goal, trimming the score to 7-3 after one quarter. Yet the Rams answered with the kind of balanced attack that makes their offense hard to stop.

Kyren Williams ran for 9 yards, Parkinson caught a 15-yard pass, and Stafford again found Allen for a touchdown, making it 14-3. Then Los Angeles kept pouring forward. Blake Corum ripped through the Raiders defense for runs of 17 yards and 9 yards, while Nacua kept moving the chains. Stafford hit Nacua for an 11-yard score, and the lead grew to 21-3.

The Rams saved their biggest first-half blow for late in the second quarter. Williams caught two important passes, then burst around the left side for a 17-yard touchdown. Los Angeles led 28-3 before Gay’s 27-yard kick gave the Raiders six points at halftime.

Las Vegas did not fold. A surprise pass from punter AJ Cole helped start a third-quarter march, but the Raiders could not finish it. Then safety Jeremy Chinn recovered a Williams fumble, giving the home team another opening. Los Angeles challenged and overturned a deep completion on the next drive, however, and the Raiders again came away empty.

Tre Tucker finally broke through early in the fourth quarter, hauling in a 37-yard touchdown from Kirk Cousins. A linebacker then intercepted Stafford, and Cousins quickly found Jeanty for a 15-yard touchdown. Suddenly, the Rams’ huge lead had shrunk to 28-18.

That was when Los Angeles answered like a team with championship goals. Stafford calmly marched the Rams into scoring range, and Corum powered in from 4 yards out with 6:34 left. Corum finished with 93 rushing yards, while Williams added 99, helping Los Angeles control the final minutes.

Cousins threw for 295 yards, with Tucker gaining 103 and Bowers catching six passes for 73 yards, but the Raiders scored on only one of five red-zone trips, meaning drives inside the opponent’s 20-yard line. The Rams improved to 3-4 and next face the Chargers, carrying fresh proof that their offense can close a game. The Raiders fell to 3-4 and head to the Jets still seeking the final sharp finish that can turn hard effort into wins.
