Sanchez Takes the Mound for Philly
Cristopher Sanchez is bringing serious heat to American Family Field on Sunday. The Dominican right-hander is one of baseball's best stories this season. Last year he made the All-Star team, and he's keeping that momentum rolling in 2025. Sanchez has been lights-out so far. His ERA sits at just 1.38, and he's struck out 20 batters while giving up almost nothing to opposing hitters. The Brewers better be ready. When Sanchez is on the mound like this, runs are hard to come by. The Phillies' pitching staff is absolutely loaded with talent, and Sanchez is proof of why they can win it all.
The Brewers Fight Back Home
Milwaukee is sitting pretty at 42-26. That's one of the best records in baseball, and they're playing tough at home. But things got messy in yesterday's game. The Phillies hammered the Brewers 9-8 in a wild back-and-forth battle. Realmuto launched a three-run bomb in the sixth inning, and the Brewers just couldn't catch up even though Chourio went crazy with two homers. Milwaukee is down one game in this series, and they need Kyle Harrison to step up big. The Brewers' bullpen is solid with Trevor Megill closing out games. Harrison's got to keep runs off the board early if the Brewers want to bounce back.
Philly's Big Bats Keep Rolling
The Phillies' lineup is absolutely on fire right now. They're 7-3 in their last ten games, and yesterday they scored nine runs. Look at who's doing damage: Trea Sosa homered to right center. Bryce Harper drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. Most importantly, J.T. Realmuto crushed a massive three-run shot that changed everything in the sixth. These guys know how to hit with runners on base, and Kyle Harrison is about to face the most dangerous lineup in the division. Philly's got the weapons to score in bunches. Harrison better have his best stuff or things could get ugly fast.
