Guardians vs Yankees Recap: Guardians Rally Past Yankees 5-4

The Guardians rolled into Yankee Stadium ready to fight. Cleveland was riding a two-game winning streak, but the Yankees were hungry too—they'd just lost the night before, 9-4. You could feel the energy crackling when Kyle Manzardo stepped up in the second inning. Gerrit Cole wound up and threw an 83-mile-per-hour knuckle curve. Manzardo connected hard. The eighth inning sealed it. Rhys Hoskins singled to left field, and Jose Ramirez raced home. Five-three Guardians. Then came the ninth. The Yankees mounted a last-ditch effort.
