Angels Strike First in Desert Showdown
The Los Angeles Angels rolled into Arizona ready to fight back. They came into Tuesday having lost their last two games. The Diamondbacks stood at home with a 37-35 record, hungry to keep winning. Right away in the first inning, Mike Trout sparked the Angels' offense. Jo Adell smacked a double to right field off Ryne Nelson. Trout raced home and the Angels led 1-0. Arizona answered fast. Gabriel Moreno singled up the middle. Geraldo Perdomo came around to score. The game was tied at 1-1 before the second inning even started. Both teams showed they came to play.
