You're watching a huge game at Cleveland's ballpark. The Rangers just won their fourth straight game. The Guardians came in with a 44-40 record, riding a two-game winning streak of their own. Texas sits at 42-42, fighting to stay close in the race. Both teams need this win badly. Right away, things got tense. The Rangers found their opening in the fourth inning. Jake Burger stepped up with the bases tight. He grounded out to third, but Josh Jung raced home with the first run. Texas 1, Cleveland 0. The Rangers' bats were waking up early. Burger was hungry for more damage. The Rangers' offense was ready to make noise all game long.
Arias Blasts, Rangers Keep Adding Runs
Gabriel Arias cranked a bomb to center field in the fifth inning. The ball screamed off his bat and sailed 429 feet into the air. The crowd watched it disappear. Arias tied it up, 1-1. But Texas wasn't done. In the sixth inning, Burger smacked a single through the middle. Evan Carter sprinted home. Rangers led 2-1. Then the seventh inning exploded for Texas. Nicky Lopez singled to center, and Cameron Cauley scored to make it 3-2. Two batters later, Justin Foscue hammered a double to left. Lopez came roaring in. Texas was up 4-2. The Rangers were attacking from all angles now.
Rangers Escape with Victory Despite Late Drama
The ninth inning brought chaos and confusion. Justin Foscue stepped up again against Cleveland's pitcher. He smacked another double to left. But wild plays unfolded on the field. Evan Carter raced home on a fielding error by left fielder Steven Kwan. Cameron Cauley scored too. Texas stretched the lead to 6-3. Cleveland fought back with a wild pitch in the seventh that scored Brayan Rocchio. It made things 4-3 for a moment. But the Rangers' bats had done enough damage. When the final out was recorded, Texas had won 6-3. The Rangers improved to 43-42. Cleveland dropped to 44-41. Both teams stay hungry heading forward.
