The Charlotte Hornets bring their sizzling hot shooting to Boston on Wednesday night. They'll face a Celtics team that's won more games than anyone though but will be missing some key pieces.
Charlotte's Hot Streak
The Hornets are on fire right now. LaMelo Ball zips the ball up and down the court like a magician. His passes snap through defenders' hands and find teammates in perfect spots. Ball drops about 20 points per game and dishes nearly nine assists.
Brandon Miller and Kon Knueppel add more firepower. Knueppel scores about 19 points per game and shoots over 40% from three-point range. This young Charlotte squad has figured out how to win close games and blowouts. They've gone from rebuilding team to playoff contender.
Boston's Challenge
The Celtics face a tough test on Wednesday night. Jaylen Brown woke up feeling sick and won't play. The star scorer has been putting up about 29 points per game this season. Neemias Queta also gets a rest day after his big performance Sunday.
Jayson Tatum continues recovering from Achilles surgery and won't suit up. That means Derrick White and Nikola Vucevic must step up big time.
The Matchup
Charlotte plays tough defense and executes down the stretch. Boston's home court usually gives them energy. But without their top scorers, can the Celtics stop Charlotte's winning ways? Wednesday night will tell us which team wants it more.
