Red-Hot Knicks Visit Denver
The Knicks roll into Denver riding high. Even though they just lost a close one to the reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder, but before that they looked unstoppable. The Nuggets are coming off a game against the Lakers. This will be their second night of a back-to-back.
Brunson and Towns Lead the Charge
Jalen Brunson runs the show for New York. He dishes passes that slice through defenses like a hot knife. He scores about 29 points per game. Karl-Anthony Towns controls the paint with his long arms reaching for every rebound. He grabs about 12 boards each night while adding 22 points. OG Anunoby locks down on defense, his quick hands swiping at passes.
Jokic Battles Without a Key Player
Nikola Jokic remains basketball's best all-around player. The big man averages 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. He sees the court like a chess master. Jamal Murray has also been electric. He can get scorching hot from three-point range.
Denver faces a problem though. Aaron Gordon might miss the game. He's been out for 16 games already. The Nuggets struggle to close tight games without him.
The Matchup
New York plays smothering team defense. Denver needs to execute better in clutch moments. Watch Brunson's crafty moves against Murray's shooting. Towns will battle Jokic in an epic big-man showdown. Can the Nuggets stop this Knicks freight train?
