Sixers vs Hornets Preview: Backcourts in Collision

Saturday's matchup in Charlotte pits two hungry teams against each other, both fighting for playoff survival. The Philadelphia 76ers sit seventh in the East at 40-33, while the Charlotte Hornets hold the eighth seed at 39-34. Every game matters now, because one bad skid could push either team into the play-in tournament or completely out of contention.

Tyrese Maxey is averaging about 31 points per game, making him one of the most dangerous offensive players in the East. He is officially listed as questionable for Saturday, so his availability remains uncertain. Joel Embiid has battled knee problems all season, missing more than half the games. When healthy, however, Embiid plays at an MVP level, averaging about 21 points and nearly seven rebounds.
