Pistons Edge Cavaliers 122-119 in Overtime Battle

The Detroit Pistons battled past the Cleveland Cavaliers 122-119 in overtime Friday night. The top team in the Eastern Conference won their fourth straight game. The Cavaliers fought hard without several key players but fell short in the extra period.
Duren Takes Over
Jalen Duren was unstoppable all night long. The 21-year-old center crashed through the paint like a runaway train. He finished with 33 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Duren scored on powerful dunks and smooth finishes around the basket. His massive hands snatched rebounds away from defenders. Detroit's young star blocked three shots and changed several more. This was his fifth straight double-double game.
Cleveland Fights Without Stars
The Cavaliers were missing big names. Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Keon Ellis, and Dean Wade all sat out with injuries. But Cleveland refused to quit. Jarrett Allen dominated inside with 25 points on incredible 83 percent shooting. He hauled down nine rebounds and swatted one shot away. Evan Mobley was a monster on both ends. He scored 23 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Mobley blocked four shots, protecting the rim like a fortress. Sam Merrill stepped up with 20 points. Jaylon Tyson added 15 points in extended minutes.
Down to the Wire
Cleveland jumped ahead early and led 54-50 at halftime. Detroit roared back in the third quarter, outscoring the Cavaliers 35-30. The game stayed close through the fourth quarter. Neither team could pull away. The buzzer sounded with the score tied, sending the game to overtime.
Pistons Finish Strong
Cade Cunningham delivered when it mattered most. The 6-foot-8 point guard finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. He guided Detroit's offense like a chess master. Ausar Thompson added 18 points on sizzling 70 percent shooting. Tobias Harris grabbed six steals, picking Cleveland's pockets all night.
Detroit won the overtime period 8-5 to seal the victory. The Pistons improved to 44-14 and stayed number one in the conference.
