76ers Beat Heat 124-117 Behind Embiid and Maxey

The Philadelphia 76ers kept their hot streak alive Thursday night, beating the Miami Heat 124-117 at home. The win pushed Philadelphia's streak to six straight victories.
Maxey Takes Control
Tyrese Maxey bounced back from a tough game with a dazzling performance. The speedy guard poured in 28 points and handed out 11 assists. He whipped passes across the court like a magician. His lightning-quick drives left defenders spinning. Maxey also snatched five steals, picking Miami's pockets all night long.
Joel Embiid dominated down low with 26 points and 11 rebounds. The big man planted himself in the paint like a tree. His strong shoulders and powerful moves gave Miami fits. When defenders collapsed on him, Embiid found open teammates with smart passes.
Kelly Oubre Jr. added 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds. VJ Edgecombe chipped in 19 points with eight boards of his own.
Miami Fights Hard
The Heat kept battling despite missing key players. Terry Rozier sat out, leaving Miami short-handed in the backcourt.
Bam Adebayo was a warrior for Miami. He powered his way to 29 points and yanked down 14 rebounds. His muscles flexed as he fought for position. Adebayo's quick feet helped him chase down loose balls.
Tyler Herro scored 25 points and dished seven assists. His smooth shooting stroke stayed hot all game. Jaime Jaquez Jr. added 19 points. Andrew Wiggins contributed 18 points in the losing effort.
Game Flow
Philadelphia grabbed control in the second quarter. They built a 16-point halftime lead. Miami fought back in the third quarter but couldn't complete the comeback.
The 76ers improved to 33-26 and sixth place in the Eastern Conference. Miami fell to 31-29, holding onto eighth place. Philadelphia's winning ways continue as they chase a playoff spot.
