The San Antonio Spurs rolled into Philadelphia and delivered a statement. They crushed the 76ers 131-91 on Tuesday night. This was total domination from start to finish.
Spurs Take Control Early
San Antonio jumped ahead right from the opening tip. They led 32-25 after the first quarter. By halftime, the Spurs had stretched their lead to 78-53. The third quarter turned into a complete blowout. San Antonio poured in 35 more points while holding Philadelphia to just 11. The game was basically over before the fourth quarter even started.
Vassell and Harper Lead the Attack
Devin Vassell caught fire for the Spurs. He splashed in 22 points on incredible 70% shooting. Vassell looked like a pure scorer, attacking the basket and knocking down shots from everywhere. His smooth movements made everything look easy.
Dylan Harper matched Vassell with 22 points of his own. The rookie phenom showed why he went second overall in the draft. He shot an amazing 72.7% from the floor. Harper's size and skill make him look like a future star already.
Castle Controls the Game
Stephon Castle ran the show for San Antonio. The Rookie of the Year from 2024 posted 15 points and dished out 10 assists. His court vision helped teammates find open looks all night. Castle's ability to control the pace makes the Spurs so dangerous.
Keldon Johnson grabbed 9 rebounds and added 12 points. De'Aaron Fox contributed 11 points and 7 assists. The Spurs got production from everyone.
76ers Missing Key Players
Philadelphia played without star center Joel Embiid. He's out with an oblique strain. Paul George was also suspended. Without their big guns, the 76ers struggled badly.
Tyrese Maxey led Philadelphia with 21 points. Jabari Walker scored 20 on efficient shooting. But it wasn't nearly enough.
Looking Ahead
The Spurs improved to 44-17 and sit second in the Western Conference. This young team keeps growing stronger. The 76ers fell to 33-28 and need their stars back soon.
