Rockets Roll Past Jazz 125-105 Behind Jabari's Big Night

The Houston Rockets looked unstoppable Monday night. They crushed the Utah Jazz 125-105 at home. Houston grabbed their fourth straight win and showed why they're serious playoff contenders.
Jabari Takes Over
Jabari Smith Jr. put on a show. The forward poured in 31 points on incredible shooting. He made over 70 percent of his shots while grabbing nine rebounds. Jabari also played lockdown defense with three steals and three blocks. He was flying around the court, swatting away shots and racing down for easy baskets. His energy set the tone all night.
Rockets Fire on All Cylinders
Houston came out blazing. They scored 38 points in the first quarter alone. The Rockets led 68-47 at halftime and never slowed down.
Amen Thompson was perfect from the floor. He hit every single shot he took and finished with 20 points. Thompson also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists. His speed was too much for Utah to handle.
Kevin Durant ran the offense like a maestro. He handed out 12 assists while adding 18 points. The veteran superstar made everyone around him better.
Alperen Sengun nearly recorded a triple-double. He scored 16 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and dished nine assists. The center controlled the paint on both ends.
Reed Sheppard chipped in 15 points off the bench. The rookie continues to shine with Fred VanVleet out injured.
Jazz Fight Despite Injuries
Utah played without guard Keyonte George due to an ankle injury. The young Jazz team fell behind early and couldn't recover.
Lauri Markkanen led Utah with 29 points. The seven-foot forward battled hard but didn't get enough help. Brice Sensabaugh scored 26 points on hot shooting. Isaiah Collier added 17 points while starting at point guard.
Kyle Filipowski grabbed five rebounds and recorded five steals. The rookie showed his defensive instincts.
Looking Ahead
Houston improved to 35-21 and third place in the West. Utah dropped to 18-40 as their rebuild continues.
