Jaylen Warren gave Pittsburgh the steady force it needed in Paris, powering through the Saints for 101 rushing yards as the Steelers escaped with a 16-10 win at Stade de France. Pittsburgh arrived at 4-2, trying to stretch its two-game winning run. New Orleans entered at 2-4, hoping Tyler Shough could build on the spark from last week’s victory. Instead, Warren and a tough Steelers defense turned this into a hard-running, field-position fight.

The Steelers struck first after Warren burst up the middle for 29 yards on Pittsburgh’s opening drive. That run carried the Steelers deep into Saints territory, but New Orleans stiffened near its goal line. Kicker Chris Boswell made a 28-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead.

Shough answered with quick throws to Chris Olave and receiver Vele, moving New Orleans across midfield. Pittsburgh’s pass rush stopped the drive, though, and the Saints had to punt. The Steelers then patiently worked out from their own end, with Warren and Rico Dowdle helping Aaron Rodgers keep the chains moving.

New Orleans found a huge play early in the second quarter. Receiver Brown raced free for a 49-yard catch, setting the Saints up inside the Pittsburgh 35. T.J. Watt sacked Shough, but the young quarterback stayed composed and guided the Saints close enough for Daniel Carlson’s 38-yard field goal. The score was tied 3-3.

Rodgers quickly changed the picture. He hit Warren for 26 yards, then found DK Metcalf for a 51-yard catch down to the Saints’ 4. Tight end Washington finished the drive with a 4-yard touchdown catch, putting Pittsburgh ahead 10-3.

Shough refused to let the game slip away. He led a fast drive with Olave, Alvin Kamara and Vele all making key catches. After New Orleans was stopped twice at the 1-yard line, Shough fired a 1-yard touchdown pass to Vele with 1:45 left in the half. The Saints had pulled even, 10-10.

Yet Boswell’s 47-yard kick at the halftime horn gave Pittsburgh a 13-10 lead. In the third quarter, Shough marched the Saints back toward the red zone, the area inside the opponent’s 20-yard line. But linebacker Wilson intercepted a pass intended for Olave at the Pittsburgh 11. The takeaway ended New Orleans’ best chance to take control.

The Steelers did not score a touchdown after that, but their ground game kept squeezing the clock. Warren and Dowdle combined to help Pittsburgh gain 148 rushing yards, while Rodgers completed 30 passes without an interception. Boswell added a 39-yard field goal late in the third for a 16-10 lead.

New Orleans made one final push in the fourth. A replay gave Olave a 14-yard catch, but linebacker Queen soon sacked Shough, forcing a punt. Pittsburgh then ran with purpose, converting 10 of 16 third downs and using up the final minutes. Rodgers even scrambled for 8 yards to help seal it.

The Steelers are now 5-2 and carry a sturdy, physical identity toward their next game against Cleveland. The Saints fall to 2-5, but Shough’s 278 passing yards showed he can keep fighting through pressure. New Orleans now heads to Cleveland needing its passing attack to turn long drives into more finishes near the goal line.
