Week 1 · 2026
Derrick Henry’s Three-Touchdown Charge Powers Ravens Past Colts
Baltimore Ravens 41 at Indianapolis Colts 23
How the Game Went
Indianapolis struck first when Jonathan Taylor scored from 1 yard out, but the extra point missed. Baltimore answered quickly. Lamar Jackson ran for a touchdown after a 49-yard pass to Zay Flowers. An interception set up Derrick Henry’s 4-yard score. Flowers then turned a short pass into a 54-yard touchdown, and Henry raced 32 yards to make it 28-6. Taylor scored again, but Baltimore added field goals and Henry’s third touchdown to win 41-23.
Standout Performers
Henry powered the Ravens with 144 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Jackson threw for 324 yards, including a 54-yard touchdown pass to Flowers and a 53-yard pass to Chris Moore. Flowers also helped start Baltimore’s first touchdown drive with his 49-yard catch. For Indianapolis, Taylor rushed for 98 yards and scored twice. Daniel Jones led a late scoring drive, throwing a 9-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Warren. Pierce made important catches of 23 and 25 yards.
What It Means
The Ravens began the season 1-0 under coach Jesse Minter after finishing 8-9 last season. Their explosive plays and quick scores turned turnovers into a big lead. Baltimore next visits the New Orleans Saints. The Colts are 0-1 and will try to regroup before facing the Kansas City Chiefs. Indianapolis showed perseverance by continuing to battle, even when trailing. However, the fumble and interception gave Baltimore extra chances, showing why teams must protect the ball and support one another.
